Literacy Research and Guidance is dedicated to publishing articles related to educational research and guidance within reading education and related professional fields, with a particular emphasis on pedagogical practice and applied or fundamental research of particular interest to reading and literacy educators. Particular emphasis is placed on empirical research, and authors are encouraged to submit data-based research articles that provide clear guidance and recommendations for educational practice. At the same time, the journal also welcomes theoretical discussions and literature reviews, especially those that provide new perspectives and insights into the process of understanding reading and promoting cultural literacy.

The journal covers a variety of topics including, but not limited to, innovative approaches to reading teaching, literacy development strategies, diagnosis and intervention of dyslexia, literacy development in multicultural and multilingual contexts, and the use of technology to improve literacy. It provides a platform for educators, researchers, policy makers and students to exchange and share the latest research on literacy education.
